(Lawrenceburg, KY -- January 29, 2024) -- Anderson County welcomes a new healthcare facility with the grand opening of Lawrenceburg Family Practice (LFP). The new primary care clinic will focus on putting families’ health first by offering quick availability and quality customer service.
After over six months of construction, the new facility is complete. The team’s first day welcoming patients for appointments will be Monday, January 29, 2024. Jeneen Haddix, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, a Lawrenceburg native, will provide full-time provider coverage for the clinic. Dr. Brian Smith (Versailles, KY) will serve as medical director of Lawrenceburg Family Practice and provide clinical oversight in collaboration with Haddix.
“I am beyond excited to care for the families of my hometown” says Jeneen Haddix, LFP Family Nurse Practitioner. “After gaining experience in other healthcare organizations throughout central Kentucky, returning home to Lawrenceburg to provide primary care to my community is a dream come true.”
Lawrenceburg Family Practice was established by Bluegrass Community Hospital (Versailles, KY) and its physician practice group, Bluegrass Medical Group. Patients can expect a warm and welcoming environment where their health concerns are addressed with the utmost expertise and personalized attention.
David Steitz, Chief Executive Officer of Bluegrass Community Hospital, states “one thing that will set Lawrenceburg Family Practice apart from other primary care practices is our strong commitment to customer service in a convenient location. We are dedicated to fostering long-lasting relationships with our patients.” Steitz goes on to mention the advantage of having a primary care provider -- “There’s a benefit to having a primary care provider (PCP) versus seeking urgent treatment only when you’re ill: your PCP practices preventive care with routine health assessments that can help you live a healthier life.”
A primary care provider becomes familiar with your medical history, lifestyle, and unique healthcare needs and allows for more comprehensive and tailored care, as they can identify patterns, monitor chronic conditions and offer preventive measures. The clinic will see patients ages 4 and up and specialize in the following services:
- sick visits
- medication management
- minor injuries
- physicals
- immunizations
- preventative medicine
- screening tests
- chronic condition management
Lawrenceburg Family Practice is located at 1004 West Park Dr., Ste. B, Lawrenceburg, KY 40342 (across from the Kroger shopping center). The clinic accepts most major insurances. Appointments may be made by calling the clinic at 502.353.4580 or by using the online scheduling tool at this link. LFP is also welcoming walk-in appointments.
